I have the same model. Haven't had the first problem in over 2 years. I shoot a bunch and clean very little. It hasn't failed yet. $675 is a decent price. Got my dad one before Christmas for $590 plus shipping and tax so it came out to be just under $650. I am around 4 of that model and we all like em.

On a serious note, to the DPMS naysayers, what don't y'all like about them?

Everyone has different brands they like or don't like, but for a hunting rifle just about every brand will do the trick. Just get what you like the most for the amout you want to spend. Just don't put a cheap optic on whatever you get, get a quality scope. Good luck

It admittedly hasnt officially been involved with Eastern bloc conflicts yet. its line of service involves Vietnam to present.

inferior material in the barrel, QC is poor, chambers arent true 556 even thought it is marked as such, lots of reasons.

I own 2 dpms oracles and I've had zero issues with them, I would buy another in a heartbeat

You can build a decent ar with parts from palmetto for 550 or less almost every day. Cheapest I've seen was around $460 total.

negative...there is a good reason why a dpms retails for less than a Colt.

How many dpms 5.56 are there in the sand box?? It's a good tool for the weekend plinker, but not good enough for our real warriors.
