    Just finished this "Zombie Gun" last night.

    Springfield XD-9 Tactical with "Zombie Green" & "Graphite Black" Cerakote

            Thanks. I was going to do the guide rod in Zombie Green too, but decided to go with black instead. I like the way it turned out.

                How did you cerakote the frame, I thought cerakote had to be cured with heat?

                      It does. We just cure it at a lower temperature (160-175) as opposed to 250-275 for metal parts. Cerakote requires a minimum of 150 degrees to cure. As long as you can safely get the part to those temps it will cure. (polymers and plastics we stay below 180. Once you start passing that you can start to have problems)

                      Kydex will lose shape at very low temperatures so for kydex holsters and scopes they make an air dry formula. It's not as durable as the heat cure, but it still holds up very well.
