And that's why I hunt with guys that judge folks not by the choice of the weapon they choose , they are judged by conduct in the field and respect given to fellow hunters...

I havent shot the 935 so I cant attest to it, but I was curious if you have looked into the versa max? It handles light load to magnums very well. And the sportsman is around the same pricepoint.

Yes sir I looked at the Versa-Max and looked like a nice gun , I have just always had good luck with Mossberg shotguns ( pump guns ) have had many and they have always treated me very well. Ended up buying a new 935 today from a fellow TBHer that works in a local gun shop. Got it home and put a box of 2 3/4 - 7 1/2 dove loads and half a box of #4 3in steel through it on some clays , so far never had a hick-up , it shot very nice and busted all but a few clays for me. I was shooting the 2 3/4 to try and make it jam up but it ate an up with no complaints at all , so far so good. Going to take it out after some ducks and dove this week , will put a case of shells through it and report back ( good or bad ).......

I've shot the 935 for the past 8 years. Never had an issue. There are better guns, but this will get the job done.

There is one in my arsenal...well, actually it's Kaitlin's gun. It's a bit much for her, but she traded an 835 (pump version) for it since the pump was just flat too long for her to operate. It's been a good gun for us, and the first time I shot it, I almost stole it from her. It just fits me so well, I don't seem to miss many ducks with it, even my duck hunter buddy said, "Dang, I think you're going to have to buy Kaitlin a new shotgun, because that one just became yours." It was mentioned that they don't like light loads, and that is 100% true in my experience, BUT, all the 3.5" guns I've shot struggled to cycle the 1oz or 7/8oz loads. If I run 1 1/8oz, it cycles perfectly fine for us. Back during dove season, I found some Rio Texas Dove loads that were 1 1/4oz loads and it LOVED those.
