    My point was that Remington is good but don't discredit Savage. Dollar for dollar they hold their own. Like I said in my original statement, I like them both.

    Since you are "just sayin'", please share your factual reference data source for numbers of bench rest rifles made by brand name. I would actually like you to answer that, I think those numbers would be interesting to see.

          Id find a new old stock stevens 200 in your flavor of caliber, then get a rifle basix trigger to swap it out with. Its a savage 110 without an accutrigger and can be rebarreled quite easily later on. I liked my 22-250 but sold it once i got my dad's 243 r700. I want another one for sure

            For what your doing i would buy the axis. The deer won't know the difference. Especially if your not looking to do upgrades or work on the gun. Axis is a fine truck gun.

            If your into little projects buy the r700, bed the action and open up the barrel channel to free float the barrel. I adjusted my adl trigger with an allen wrench and it breaks at 3 lbs according to the trigger scale.
