Ever since I got my can, I don't think I've fired a rifle without my suppressor on it. I can't even think when I've fired a rifle without it on. It goes on my .308's and my AR's.
Yep on both counts. I can't see any reason to own a 5.56 can. You can only use it on 22 cal and below. 7.62 is much more versatile.

And I don't even like shooting unsuppressed guns any more. I'm trying to figure out how to suppress my lever guns.

stupid question but do you just take your flash suppressor off and screw it on or how does it work?

I have the YHM 7.62 QD for my .308 and have the QD flash hider to fit it on my 5.56 AR as well. It is scary quiet on my 308, especially with subsonic rounds. It also takes a tremendous amount of the recoil away as well. My wife loves to shoot it suppressed now!

You've got different flash suppressors for AR's and different ones for .308's, other cals. You can buy them seperately.

AR-15's usually use 1/2x28 thread pitch
6.8's, .308's and up use 5/8x24 thread pitch
No idea the thread pitch on a .338LM and up...

My sdn6 works with a quick ratchet mount flash suppressor. The suppressor slides over the flash hider. Easy on easy off. I would assume most others might work this way. About $100 each. They have different threads for different barrells. Don't know much about YHM. Sure fire has the same type attachments as ACC.

Here is some pics of my .300blk I built. Spikes upper and lower, CMMG barrell, and the AAC sdn-6 with the ratchet mount. My 9 year old loves shooting it because it kicks and sounds like an air rifle. Her she is at our ranch with my dad.

From what I've seen 22 cal and below are 1/2x28. Anything above the 22 cal is 5/8x24... I have seen some odd ball thread pitch, but can't remember what it is.

You can do both, buy a threaded barrel or have it threaded after your purchase...

Alright I'm ready to get a supressor, any info, thoughts, suggestions any of you extremely knowledgeable guys/gals might have for me? I would like to the eform, anyone know where this can be done in the DFW area?

I plan on getting the YHM Phantom 30 LT supressor

                                Is this a serious question?

Do you not talk to your coworker?

Just a question though, do you never plan to shoot anything more powerful than a .308 through the suppressor? The LT is only rated to .308, the standard 7.62 Titanium is rated for any 30 caliber magnum available or smaller.
