I'm in the market for a silencer for my .223. There are roughly a BILLION types and brands out there. I'm kinda overwhelmed. Does anyone have one on their .223? If you, what do you like or dislike about them? What would u do differently?

I wouldn't do anything differently if I had to do it again. I bought a 30 cal suppressor to shoot on my rifles from a .308 down to .223. Unless you just really only want to shoot it on your .223, I'd recommend a 30 cal can.
Ever since I got my can, I don't think I've fired a rifle without my suppressor on it. I can't even think when I've fired a rifle without it on. It goes on my .308's and my AR's.Last edited by lglidewell; 11-25-2013, 09:01 PM.

I've made an assumption you are shooting an AR
I have an AAC SDN-6 on my .300blk. I can use it on the 5.56 as well. It's scary quiet on the
.300. The 5.56 still makes a bang only smaller. Generally, any .30 cal can can be used on smaller projectiles. For $200 you can get a .300blk barrel from CMMG and swap it with your 5.56?barrell and you are rolling with a .308 bullett out of a the same gun with no other modifications. One can for multiple guns!
Now you will just have to wait for ever to get your can. 6 months or so. I got mine from NT armament and had Sean Cody set me up a fire arms trust. He's out if Houston. I'm sure I could find his info if you need it

I know a lot of people that bought gemtechs, sure fire, AAC, and others to turn around and trade thOse back I'm for a YHM.
Give the guys at silencer shop a call. They usually have plenty YHM titanium QD 30 cals in stock and there about the cheapest you'll find

Get it NOW. We're seeing about a 10-12 month turnaround from the NFA. January's tax stamps are just now coming in. The wait has gone up considerably. But if you're going to get one, get it now.
