Messed with the xd 9's earlier today an liked the feel and trigger pull. It's still longer than I like, since my 1911 has spoiled me, but it was smoother to me than the M&P

There is a light short take up(as with any of the SA/DA pistols) then it breaks at a very light crisp 5lbs that feels like 2lbs to me.Makes me sad. Lol. I'm by no means set on what I'm getting yet. I've only messed with 3 or 4 different pistols. Still many more to play with before I decide.
I'll check out the Walther for sure

9mm options...
Cheap but great quality and can improve trigger..Glock 19
Cheap but great quailty and a iffy trigger upgrade..M&P 9c
Moderate cost with a heavy trigger ...Sig Sauer P226
Costly with a middle of the road trigger..H&K P30
It is just me and these are the only ones that I would own of use, call me a snob..

Apex trigger in the M&P will set you back but it is worth it.
