    Which Geissele Trigger?

Looking to replace the triggers on both of my AR's with Geissele triggers. My question is single stage or double stage and why? Not looking to do any long range shooting with these so thats something to consider.

What are you mainly going to be shooting? Hunting/self defense, 3 stage? SSA would be a good kind of alround trigger but if you are interested in comp then it really opens up.

No not interested in comp, just want a ultra smooth breaking trigger for hunting/self defense. Going to make one of them a hunting gun and one self defense so if you would recommend a different trigger for those two applications I would appreciate any input

I have and like the super semi-auto enhanced. It'd be great for the hunting gun. Might go with the regular super-semi for the self defense gun.

I've been dragging my feet on this as well. I like the idea of the SD-E but I'm not real sure about the flat trigger. I also Ike the SSA-E. I guess it's like anything else....personal preference!

For SD and plinking no need to go any lighter than the SSA, it's light and crisp enough.
For rifles you plan to do a little more precision shooting with especially at longer distances (like 200+) then the enhanced versions will help.

I really like the feel of the flat trigger of the SD-E, I have this one on my 308.

On any of the Geissele triggers there's no guessing of when the first stage ends and the second stage begins. There's a definite "wall" between the two.

I'm going with the Geissele Super Dynamic 3 Gun SD3G again. its a really fast and smooth trigger which i like for hunting hogs to get fast follow up shots.

I've decided to stay away from the big money triggers. Amy Geissele and husband, created ALG defense.

The "ACT" trigger does everything I need and the feel is excellent. They're tuned by Geissele.

                  $65

                    X2, it's silly fast.

I'm in the same boat as Chad and to be honest if you aren't going to spend a lot of time at the range and really work on your trigger control you won't know the different between the triggers.

Geissele also offers their standard 2 stage trigger for $165. http://geissele.com/geissele2stage-2.aspx Everything you get with the SSA but less money.

From reading their website, the descriptions of both their triggers sound the same and not very good. I can do a trigger job on factory parts thats pretty good for less than $65.

I haven't shot one of the ALG triggers but I have 2 rifles with Geissele SD-C triggers and 1 rifle with the SD-E and they are very good triggers. I can't really tell much of a difference with the enhanced version but I do love the flat trigger face of the SD series triggers.

I have both. The lesser of the two is $45.

No grit, no play and they are crisp! Maybe they're not worth it, but there is a niche for this type of trigger and that's why Gieselle started the company.

I like them. I guess that's all that matters.
