Does anyone know if there is a place to look up a S&W revolver serial number to find out when it was made or have to ability to look it up? I have a Model 13 I am thinking about selling and prices are all over the place depending on exactly what it is. I bought the gun in either 1985 or 86, can't remember exactly. I'm rating this one in excellent condition per the NRA. I you can help I'll PM the serial number.

If you are planning a trip to DFW and price is affordable, I'll take it.
Those and the 65 are all over the board, no clue why but I do carry a 3" 65 and want a matching 13.
Seen the 3" 65 for $299 and next table over at show is $650.
Lowest I've seen is $219 on a table of 12-15 PD trade-ins.

$400 won't buy it, sorry. As stated for that my son wants it but I'm going to ask more based on my research. For that I may just keep it. The only marks on the gun are seen on the cylinder where the indentions are that advance the cylinder. No marks on the sharp edges or barrel. No bluing missing at all.
Larry thanks for the info.
