I am running just under 19gr of 300MP, CCI #450 primer, pushing a Nosler 125BT, 2.260" COAL. Brass is Lake City, that I cut down and sized. (I need to check my documentation, I can't remember exactly what powder weight I was using, it's been a couple months since I monkeyed with it)

I have been looking for grouping consistency, haven't bothered with chrono just yet.

I worked up sub loads in my 700 Tactical with W680 (very close to 1680) Fed 205 match & 220MK's Just yesterday. Have a slight jam into the lands and is moa...this is my first time around with it in a bolt gun & LOTS more quiet without the bolt slab on the SBR AR. Might try some reloader 7 next time out for grins but should really just stick with the 680 since I have so much.

I'm shooting a healthy dose of W296 or H110 (same powder really) with 110gr TSX seated to the mag length & CCI mag primers in the shorty AR and that AAC bbl is right under moa.

My bolt gun HATED the CCI magnum primers...fyi.

Loaded some 300 blk hunting rounds. Ended up taking a doe with one of these rounds. Compete pass through on both front shoulders.

            19gr IMR 4227
            110gr Barnes TTSX (blue tip)
            2,155 fps

Here are some slugs I shot into a water barrel.

John those look pretty good. I was concerned how they would perform. How far away did you shoot those into the water barrel?

Mike, I killed this smallish doe at 100yds in the boiler & just dropped. That is the exit side & she had a slight quarter. Went in right behind the shoulder & exited further back. Double lung. I've also killed a couple of yotes and the exits have been good.

I think they got this bullet spot on...I'm closer to 2400fps but running hot. Gonna try it on a larger cull if the opportunity presents itself.

Just for clarification Paul, are you using the 110 TAC-TX or the 110 TTSX? The TAC-TX was designed specifically for the blackout whereas the TTSX is not. Most TTSX rounds are guaranteed expansion down to 2000 fps whereas the TAC-TX is designed to expand down to 1600 fps.

For more velocity look into Alliant 300MP powder. I average 200 fps faster than H110/Win 296.

H110 or W296 seems to be the ticket for super sonic & this pill with my tube...I'm using Hornady brass & CCI srm's.

You are right mikey...I'm using the TAC BO bullet / black tipped. Sorry for the confusion.
What length bbl you using with that 300mp??

Mike these were fired into water at about 10'.

Doe was shot at about 130 yds, small exit, but dead doe.

I'd limit the blue tips to 80-100 yds.

Guys, found a load that works subsonic in a 16" gun (suppressed).

                          Can't find AA1680 so I used H-4198

                          10.8 gr H-4198 w/ 220gr Hornady RN
                          2.08 OAL
                          NEMO 300 Blk Spring

Here is a 110 gr ttsx I pulled from a tree root a couple days ago. This thing will get it done. It was shot from about 60 yards with great expansion. I have some tactx bullets I will try out soon. I've been using h110 but I want to see if I can hunt down some 300 mp powder.

I wouldn't expect regular performance like that on game. Minimum recommended velocity for reliable expansion in the standard TTSX rounds is 2000fps. 300 blackout drops to that pretty quickly.

That's why the tac-tx was developed specifically for the 300 blackout. It expands reliable down to 1600fps.

Good luck on locating 300MP. I've been wanting to stock up for about a year now.

No need to explain all that to me, I get it. I was just showing what the round is capable of. If it expanded fully on a root it should do the same on the neck or shoulder of a hog. I'm all about getting the animal dead quick. So if a guy can't find tactx then the ttsx will perform at short ranges.
