    Bullet sequencing

For those who keep a semi-auto in their vehicle.....Do you load the magazine that is in the pistol differently than your spares? A FMJ first then JHP's or just JHP's/selfdefense rounds?
What pompted this is...If I am in my vehicle and need to discharge my weapon through glass (windows up) or metal (door) on first round, what would I want to be the first round?
Or am I over thinking this?

I don't sequence. The ammo I carry is designed to deal with minor barriers. I really don't want to have to worry about a FMJ over penetrating and causing collateral damage. Overall probably over thinking it a little.

You are overthinking it . You should load up whatever bullet works in your gun. Then, shoot it alot to learn how to hit what you are aiming at. What ever you shoot through,,will open up holes for the following bullets to follow.

Mags are full of gold dots.....fmjs are for range use ONLY!

Do you put a mag full of different rounds in your rifle when you go hunting deer? Same principal IMO. All the same, all the best that gun will shoot.

Check out Hornady critical duty (if you can find it). There 147gr 9mm exceeded FBI penetration standards on glass, car door, and heavy clothing.

              Put your mind at ease!!

I'm more worried about over penetration, especially in a vehicle where the round will fly into the street. Make your shots count, don't just start dumping a mag through your door. You're going to want to bust through your window first shot, firing a pistol in a closed space like a vehicle will blow out your eardrums, I know this from experience.

I also know from experience that shooting a man with HP's will stop a man a LOT faster than FMJ's. I have seen a man with 20+ holes in him continue to shoot back.

FMJ's are made to put holes in paper, HP's are made to put holes in people.

Your car is cover. Drive your cover away. Don't shoot through your cover.

Yep. Gold Dots or Cor bon is all that I use for defense rounds.
