I know this is NOT the legal sign but was currious what other places don't want my money. I would have walked away last night but we were with another couple and they were set on going there.
I know the owner and the Chief @ Padaria.
    Dont judge too quickly.

As they say, with this right comes great responsibility. And you seem to have thought it out quite rationally.
      Well said.

& they just had a federal fugitive running loose around there a couple of weeks ago. He'd have been safe if he'd have just gone shopping!

"In Texas there are two different signs that restrict a concealed handgun license holder from carrying into a place of business. They are a 30.06 sign, and a 51% sign.

A 30.06 sign is a sign that a business owner can post to restrict a CHL holder from entering the business with a concealed handgun. The sign must contain the exact words required by Section 30.06 in both English and Spanish, be placed in an area visible to the public, and have 1" lettering or it will not be considered a legally-binding 30.06 sign. "Gunbuster" signs, or signs with a red slash through a gun, are not considered valid 30.06 postings.

A 51% sign is a sign that a business is required by law to post if 51% of their revenue is obtained through on-premises drinking, such as at a bar. Unfortunately this also has the consequence of not allowing CHL holders to enter the premises where the drinking is taking place while carrying their handgun.

Additional places are not required to post a sign to forbid CHL holders from entering the premises with their handgun as Texas law already forbids it, such as court houses and educational institutions."

It would be hard to provide for your family in prison.

I never will understand why someone would leave their property unprotected and invite criminals into their "soft" target.
If I owned a business, I would display a sign giving CHL holders a percentage discount if they present their card instead of turning away their money.

Now that right there is a GREAT idea! If I had a consumer business, I'd do that in a heartbeat. If I ever saw a sign like that, I'd go in and try to buy something just to support that business.

Well I would rather sit in prison and know my daughter is breathing. I like that scenario. Better than me walking around free and visiting her tombstone. Like I said, if its concealed properly who will ever have a clue? The only way I would ever display it, if I was on a premises that said I couldn't carry, would have a dire life or death situation to protect my daughter. I don't know how things would work out, but atleast I can live my life knowing I did the best I could.

And as far as providing goes, luckily my whole entire family is very supportive and they would ensure that my little girl is taken care of very well. Maybe your family isn't a priority, I don't know and it's not my business. So I am not suggesting this to anyone, for me, my daughter is my main and highest priority. There are plenty of businesses I can go too that don't hinder our 2A rights. With that being said as well, I try to stay out of bad parts of DFW, I try to avoid peak shopping events and follow the law. If I ever have to break it to protect my loved ones, so be it. I pray everyday I will never be forced into that scenario.

Figured I was already illegal, so went to eat anyways.
Same experience there. It isn't at every entrance, so it's legal to carry.

You can't carry in a hospital, sign or no sign, doesn't matter

Is there a new book out? I just read the 2011-2012 (latest I saw on the web) book and I didn't get that. Looks like it is still illegal to me.

I am all for concealed carry and even open carry if texas gets that to happen. The day I turn 21 i plan on getting my concealed. From what i understand on SOME of these posts is that you will never return to a place that says no firearms or even the 30.06 sign? Is it really going to kill you to leave the pistol in the truck or at home for 30min. Just somthing i found funny.
