    For what you're wanting, I think a scope would be your best bet. I put a Nikon P-223 on my Rock River with a 16" stainless bull barrel, and I've shot out to 200 very easily. It's a great scope for the money. Also, you don't need to shoot a heavy grain bullet for hogs or deer. I shoot 55gr for both, and I've never had either run farther than 20 yards. It's all about shot placement. I usually shoot a Barnes TSX, so that helps too

      I have used the Federal Fusion 62gn on both hog and deer with good results. Just make sure you use a good round designed to stay together and not fragment as a varment round would. As far as accuracy there are lots of things to consider but you should be able to get better than 2moa with ammo the gun likes.

      For a scope I think a lower power variable, something like a 1-5 is the best choice for a all around ar. Im looking at this Leupold.
