Tikka T3 - Accuracy and Shooting Techniques

I went shooting again yesterday at American Shooting Center. The conditions were almost perfect for shooting and I experimented with different techniques.
As someone on here stated, the Tikka prefers to cool down, then shoot 3 shots within a minute or less, then cool completely again. When I tried waiting 2 minutes between shots, I noticed more vertical stringing.
I was shooting the Federal Nosler 140 grain ballistic tips and when I did my part, it was grouping at an inch or under. One group measured 0.51". I am still perfecting everything but as you can see I am still suffering from flyers. Since they seem consistent, I am not sure it is me - perhaps the gun?
I do think a medalist stock with a bedding job will enhance the accuracy of the gun. I am still shocked Tikka did not free float the synthetic stock from the factory!!

Read this thread but specifically post #3 and #17. He's talking about the Medalist and how it increased accuracy and he stopped having fliers.

Try checking the free float of the barrel (dollar bill test) right after taking 3 shots and the gun is still warm.
You may have some interference that does not exist in a cool gun. Any contact that happens after the gun gets warm will definitely cause fliers. If this is happening. The barrel channel needs to be opened up a little.
You already have discovered some interference in the cold gun. It probably gets worse as it heats up.

I haven't had these problems with my T3. It was the most accurate gun out of the box that I have ever shot and it basically came with a trigger job. I have the 7mm-rem mag, and honestly I wish I would have went with a smaller caliber for a gun this light. I have started shooting hand loads and put a good kick pad on the gun and I have been very happy with the setup now. I do remember the barrel getting hot after a handful of shots with factory loads.

I got a T3 lite .270 shooting handloads 130gr. Speer. I've personally shot 10rds in 5-6mins and still had about a 7/8" group with no fliers. Outside temp was about 80 degree with no wind. Best shooting gun I've owned. When i take wife hunting she steals it from meI've shot about 5 different rds and all shot 3shot groups 1/2-3/4" groups. I'd start looking at ringbase first and maybe try other loads.
