    Sightmark Photon Digital Nightvision

Ok so I am anxiously awaiting the release of this scope. My father and I have been looking a gen 2+/digital night vision, and I got to say I think I may have to wait it out until this thing hits the shelves. I even put an email in to them to see if I could find out the date they will start selling. I may have to take a day off work to be first in line. I know that sounds nerdy but I have been saving/selling stuff to get night vision and think i finally made a decision.

    Here is the video.

I put a pulsar n550 on my AR-15 last year, the digital night vision technology is great.
This new scope seems a lot like the pulsar, except it's more compact and about $400 cheaper.

May need to get in the same line, can't have enough night vision.

I've been wanting on of those n550 to put on my ar but I think for 400 less I'll take it.

By the way Sightmark owns Pulsar.

That's good to know, sounds like the technology should be similar.

I emailed them today and asked the release date. The said "It is start to begin to go into production so the best educated guess for when it will hit the market would be sometime this summer."

Looks pretty nice. Really been wanting a NV since I used my dads couple weeks ago.

Think I may just have to go with the proven one. The n550 sold some stuff last night so I"m 450 closer. I now have to deside which gun.

I've been really happy with mine.

It handles being mounted on a .308; no issues holding its zero.

Did you have to put the extra Ir light to get any range on your n550?

Depends on the amount of moonlight. Anything at 100-150 yards is easy to see with little or no moonlight. The IR flashlight will give you visibility out to 300 yards in any conditions. With a full moon, you can identify targets easily out past 500 yards without the IR flashlight.
