257 Weatherby is finally gonna get some glasses!

I bought a 257 Weatherby back in December a few days before I got married as my one last single man's purchase. Well today I just ordered a Leupold VX-3 3.5-10x50 to put on top of it. Very excited to try my rifle out for the first time and hope I like my new scope. I hope this is a good pair and didn't know much about the .257 before I bought it. Ive been researching it alot lately and aside from the outrageously expensive ammo, it seems to be a favorite caliber of many. Hogs beware!

.257 is one bad dude. Fast, flat shooting round. You will not be disappointed in the rifle or the scope.

              Yes and yes.

I have that scope on a rem 788. Nice glass.

My 257 wby wears the vx-3 8.5-25x50... If you can see it you can shoot it.

Should have the scope in a few days then its off to the range. Does the 257 have much recoil outta curiosity?

Recoil in the wifes mark V is about like a 25/06. Sweet rig for sure! Hers wears a vxIII 4-12X40 and it shoots good

A touch more than a 243. Mine is headed soon to htc customs to have a break installed.

It doesn't need it like a 300 wm... But I'm thinking it will kick more like a 223 after its done. I like trigger time, not into getting beat up.

At first it'll have some recoil but eventually it goes out, it'll always have a loud bark though

You won't be disappointed, I love my 257

We shoot 100 grain bullets through it and are dropping them in their tracks

And are accurate like no other!
