I doubt anyone would have been able to predict that level of hatefulness
    I agree

Mass murders and serial killers have been around for a very long time. We hear about them a lot more due to technology and information being readily available.

Not sure what causes someone to be or become a psychopath; however, I don't know if you can really blame anything in particular out there today.

I mean, Jack the Ripper never played Nintendo or watched a movie. Unfortunately, evil does and always has existed in society.

My personal belief is that a progressive snowballing lack of taking personal responsibility for actions.

I would hate to think that things like this are premeditated or planned by "officials", but it has happened in the past to socialist country's and we are screaming that direction.

Gun free zones! Plain and simple! These people don't want a challenge. I believe that most mass murders would simply off themselves if they thought for a second they would be challenged while committing a horrible crime.

Its not because they don't have God in their lives, its not because of bad parenting, its not because of hormones in their food, its because of evil, pure evil. Some people can have a great upbringing and still turn out to be a psychopath or a serial killer. People want a simple and comprehensible answer and they look to place blame on someone or something easy like, "Well, he played too many video games, that's why he did this.", or "He was never taken to church and never knew God, thats why he did this.", but in reality, they do these things because they are evil.

Most serial killers exhibit tell tale behaviors early on in life when they are still young children, like animal mutilations. They are looking for victims when they are only 6 or 7 years old! The family pet or a stray animal is usually the victim.

Take a look at black rifle-maker John Noveske's last FB post before he died in a motor vehicle accident.

I do agree with the medications as well. Ridalind (how ever you spell it) was introduced when I was a kid. I remember everyone around me as a kid was being diagnosed with ADD or ADHD and being out on the stuff. Now we may be seeing acts of violence due to such drugs from long term use. Just a possibility. For the person that said "study psychopaths and sociopaths", I haven't necessarily studied individual serial killers, but have taken 2 psychology classes in the past year. There are certain diagnosis for each person, and mostly everyone carries traits for most diagnosis, but not all of them. One show I recommend to all of you in case you are interested in any of this is criminal minds in case you haven't seen it. But most kids now days are being brought up by what is called helicopter parents (my mother still is one, and my dad was the opposite). But a helicopter parent gets the name from when we are little. When we are first learning to walk, a helicopter parent is one that will stay behind the child running through the house and catching the child every time they go to fall. This we begin to learn that someone will always be there to catch us. This is why the little walkers for toddlers are a bad idea, because they never learn the disciplines of walking at an early age. And throughout life, that parent will always be there hovering over a child to protect it. I'm not trying to teach parenting skills to any of you, just sharing what I was taught in psychology. Another bad point of parenting now days, is parents that reward their children for doing good. Doing good is what your supposed to do. Parents now days bribe children to do good, such as "if you make all a's and b's will give you 'whatever'", while never disciplining a child when they do wrong. So the child learns that everytime they do something, they should get rewarded for it, and nothing will happen when the child does bad. Once again, if this post offends anyone, I'm sorry. This is what my professor taught us, and it is very hard to deliver through script. I do not have any kids and have no knowledge of any of these points other than what my professor taught us.

Oh and I did see a movie produced on Netflix the other day called rampage, where a 20 year old kid went on a shooting and bombing rampage through town. Very similar to both of the last events. But they wouldn't give anyone the idea to do such a thing would it?

I don't have a problem rewarding a child when they make good grades, you're reinforcing good behavior. When my son is old enough to go to school, I'll tell him the same thing. He will be rewarded in life if he continues to make good grades and and he moves on up the educational ladder. Get a degree and do good in school= more money. That being said, bad behavior will result in discipline and or privledges being taken away.

To me, it seems the majority of these faces that they flash across the screen are nerds. You know that they have few friends and were heavily picked on. I believe bullying builds up a rage and they just snap one day. Maybe bullying is something we should look at even further than we already have. It can have long term effects on a person's psyche.
