it its said that the president is looking to ban assault rifles. my question is what are they meaning by assault rifle.
this may be the million dollar question right now that everyone is wondering...... does this include uppers? i believe those are considered parts. were "parts" a part of the last ban?

do yall think it will be limited to lowers and any assemblies that contain a lower?

Assault weapons "should" mean fully automatic weapons. An AR-15 is a ARmalite rifle... Just a semiautomatic hunting/self defense tool that originally started as a survival rifle for air crews in the 1950s.

Not saying I agree with it (I don't) but the general consensus is: a high powered rifle that is similar in style/appearance to a military weapon and who's design and function is more akin to a combat weapon than to a sporting weapon.

Just give it a few years, some crazy will kill a bunch of people with a "sniper rifle" and they will ban putting a scope on a rifle.

It means absolutely nothing to me.

It is a political term made up for an agenda. I know that many people say that it is a military weapon but has the military ever told anyone to bring their assault weapon to the range for training? When they changed over to new rifles, did they say we are getting a new assault weapon?

It simply means that once again Obama will VIOLATE THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES and bypass Congress tomorrow with another one of his executive orders, because he knows he could not get his ban through Congress. therefore I think his ban will not be legal
