If you like the quiet, you HAVE to try the Winchester CB Long Match...it's only 29gr, but for 'accurate' backyard work, there is nothing better.
Ain't trolling ya on this thread... promise
I like quiet. Gotta go to Academy tomorrow for sausage making stuff. Will look at their .22's for the Winchester CB long match. I really like the Eley's though.
I've always liked and used the CCI stuff.
Someone else mentioned the older Winchester Super X, don't know if its still
produced but they were good too.

I doubt Academy will have it on the shelf & probly will have to do a search & order it...this stuff is for close range work. At 29gr & only 770fps it's not going to reach out, but it's super accurate in my Anschutz & just stupid quiet with the can.
Eley is simply top shelf stuff. I use the Sub-sonic HP's & Biathlon Match (which is basically tenex w/ different lube) I also ran across some old Benchrest Gold & some of that Federal Gold Medal that had the dimpled rim. Both of those were crazy accurate back when I was shooting short range benchrest.
