I’ve carried appendix daily for the last 10 years. Carried at 4 o’clock for 5-6 years before that. I much prefer appendix, and I drive a lot (80K year). However if I put on 15 lbs carrying while driving any distance gets uncomfortable. If I keep my diet clean I can drive 6+ hours without ever thinking about it. Standing, walking, or short (30 min) drives it’s yet to be an issue.

i’ve carried appendix for the last 38 years duty revolver back in the 80’s to glock 22’s when the dept switched to the S/W M&P. gone from 6’3” 215 after academy to about 265 back down to 205 presently. never worried about my buddy cause it was always holstered cans practiced careful reholstering until it was second nature. My officers model and combat commander also wear comfortably.

I carry a shield when I carry so not a full size by any means but it has a red dot/light combo and I shoot it well. I'm a bit girthy but I found the stretchy belly band to be the most comfortable carry by far. I wear it with pants/shorts and it doubles as a belt. I rotate the weapon to my back right side. When I drive, I forget it's there. Cheap too. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GKNR7PG...n_title_1&th=1

Messing with ride height can help this alot. I can sit all day carrying appendix and find it more comfy than strongside carry. Heck, I've driven 28 hours across the country carrying a 1911 and Glock 19 appendix the entire trip.

I don't mind it , with a glock, or my hellcat... pretty much anything without a precocked striker like a sig p365 .. it baffles me the ignorance of sig owners who have no idea that the p365 has a precocked striker, meaning you chamber a round... the striker is under full tension ,it's pretty much the equivalent of a 1911 series 80 cocked but not on safety or a revolver cocked back to single action.. no trigger safety either , so the firing pin safety is it.. unless you get the xl with the external manual safety .. of course Sig is such a reputable company that their guns like the p320 have no chance whatsoever of ever going off , or does it? Sig affirms it's impossible for it to go off unless you pull the trigger..forget about all the video evidence of the contrary... is the 365 any different, would you bet your jewels on it?

Yeah, it’s pretty hard to argue now that there aren’t 320s with faulty striker blocks. I’ve never heard of that issue with a 365 though. They did have other issues earlier on though. I like my 365 Macro a lot, but it’s the only and last Sig I’ll ever own. They should have recalled the 320 years ago. Instead it’s just been CYA. Garbage company.Last edited by Clay C; 03-30-2025, 07:31 AM.
