I have shot plenty of doves with steel while teal hunting in sept. It works great & kills. All those complaining, I understand ,but in the end everyone for the most part will suck it up & shoot steel. If you can't afford the shells ,you dang sure can't afford the fuel ,leases etc to go hunt.

Steel absolutely sucks compared to lead when it comes to ballistics and killing stuff in real life. It's simple physics. Lighter shot, you need bigger and faster pellets to carry the same energy as slow heavier shot. Steel works ok for the most part if you use it within reasonable range. It just irks me that something that works better, and has been cheap for so long is being taken away at the whim of some enviro-nuts who can't prove their claim that lead is killing us all.

I doesn’t equal out anymore so it’s definitely a bit more of a stretch in my opinion.
