30-06. Not even close. 270 win is the most overrated round out there. If it wasn't for O'Conner the 270 would have faded into history long ago.

So wrong. It’s a proven good all around cartridge. My brother shoots one and has killed a lot of animals with it. Prairie dogs, coyotes, antelope, deer, elk ( a lot of them) and several moose. It’s worked great, and still is. I don’t see how you could wrong with either, 270 or 30-06 plus many many many others.

Both will kill just about anything you want.

one of my friends just killed an oryx, blackbuck, nilgia, and an audad at 326 yards with a 270. Every thing was 1 shot kill.
