Or ditch the dovetail and get a rail(20moa or not) and a pair of rings and see what happens.
For Tikka T3 and Tikka T3X rifles, this Vapor 20MOA Picatinny rail provides optimal ring alignment, adaptability and proper eye relief.

I bought a new set of rings that are extra high. I'm not sure that I need the 20MOA mount at the moment. To me it would seem that less hardware on the gun converts into less places for a screw to come loose or some other failure. I'll report back results when I get it. I think I'm going to hold off on the 20 moa rail until I start to really go out far or this next set of rings doesn't work.
Thanks everyone for all the helpfulness and advice!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, and I could be wrong someone needs to double check me, but if you had medium height rings(your link) and now went to extra high, I believe you will be hitting even lower and require even more vertical elevation adjustment to get a zero at 100. Essentially exacerbating the issue you were already having. Keeping the centerline of the scope as close to the center line of your bore is the key.

edit: Looking at the pic I can almost see it, but not sure if it's bias in my eye looking for confirmation. You might measure and see.
edit2: If it'll accept a Picatinny rail I'd absolutely be slapping a rail on it.
