I don't know a lot about them so I need some advice. I purchased a rifle kit from PSA in 6.5 Grendel and then added a Spikes stripped lower. It came with an adjustable gas block. I've tried adjusting that thing from fully closed to fully open and everywhere in between and the bolt will not lock back on the final shot. I haven't tried it to see if it will feed ammo or not, just trying to get the gas block adjusted and I've burned through $100 worth of ammo. I tore the thing completely down, removed the gas block, removed the gas tube, checked for alignment. I don't see any problem but it will not lock back. I was using a PMAG for .223 so I thought that might be the problem and ordered two AR Stoner mags that are Grendel specific and have the same problem. I called PSA and they told me to submit a warranty claim and they would help via email which I did. They emailed me back the next day and asked some questions that were already answered in the warranty submission so I assume they didn't even read it. I replied immediately and haven't heard from them since. I've bought lots of their product and never needed warranty but I have to say their warranty process is a joke. Any ideas what to do to make this thing cycle correctly?

You are either not getting enough gas, or your buffer spring/weight is too strong. Does the gun cycle in all gas block positions?
I'd figure out what buffer spring and weight you have in first, but that sounds unlikely if you've tried all gas block positions and the only is the bolt not locking. PSA barrels are going to be over gassed as a rule, so unless you just have some weird buffer setup that shouldn't be the problem. Pull your handguard off and check your gas block. PSA is notorious for mis-aligned gas blocks..Last edited by Clay C; 11-16-2023, 10:10 AM.

Seems .076" is the desired port size for an 18" with mid length gas tube and heavy rifle buffer. I would take a look at snipers hide and other various blogs for their discussions on it. hopefully that helps. Sorry just doing quick research as I have time between work. hopefully that helps some
