What is the difference in Gen 3, and Gen 5, Glocks?

    Besides the grip....

Barrels and trigger groups are supposed to be improved and better.

Bean counters figured a way to make them cheaper and blow up easier ??????

Not much really. As noted above Trigger and barrel. I actually think the Gen 5 Triggers are pretty good. I believe the recoil assembly changed between the Gen 3 and 4 which carried over the the Gen 5.
Glock still misses the ball with their crap plastic sights. I know you can get steel and night sight models if you look hard enough but those should be the rule, not the exception. I put dots on all my handguns anyways so the sights don't bother me too much.

Besides the finger grooves, barrel and trigger group the recoil springs are different, G3 is a single and G5 is dual captured, and the G5 has ambi slide lock/stop and a larger mag release.

I'm not a big striker fire guy, but just picked up a like NIB Gen 3 model 23 for $330 shipped...my other 23 I got on here is the RTF2 & there is no way to conceal without removing flesh it's so rough.

The 40 S&W isn't as popular as it once was & worth looking at if one is shopping for a good used pistola.

I think a lot of the gen changes also revolve around marketing & a way to sell more guns.

If you want to ever sell that 23 RTF, please let me know....

I had my gen3 23 cut for an optic, beveled, smoothed, and coated by Maple Leaf FA. It's not bad to carry at all now.

For a cheap gun it's OK but the military chose Sig for a reason.

There's a reason alright, but it's not dependability.

If the military is the standard for good decision making, then we're all ****ed.
