krogers and HEB normally have a good selection of tri-tips where they keep the beef roasts...

Thats one of my favorite cuts. Too bad my little podunk grocery stores dont carry them.

I made one into philly cheesesteaks earlier this week. I found it on sale for $10.

There is a bar here that makes them into a burrito with bbq sauce, onion rings, bacon, etc. Gives me a heart attack just thinking about it but man, it goes good with a beer.

Just asked and the butcher here at HEB will cut me one anytime I ask. He doesn't normally have them out. Going to order two for cooking on the rainy day we r suppose to have Sunday.
