Wild berries, looking similar to blackberries, but a little "tarter" taste. Grow along railroad tracks, and in fields. Possibly one of my fave Czech based recipes is my grandmother/moms Dewberrry cobblers. Warm with some homemade vanilla churned or Bluebell is to die for.

I just picked up a new piece of land to hunt with the boys, I made sure the landowner was okay with me picking dewberries and mustang grapes (for homemade wine)!

Picked some on tuesday at the farm and made cobbler that night. Actually looks like I have quite a few to pick real soon.

2 or 3 lbs dewberries(or however many you want) washed
    1 cup flour
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup milk
    1 Tbs baking powder
    3 tsp vanilla extract

    Streusel(topping)
    1/2 stick butter-melted
    3/4 cup flour
    1/2 cup sugar

Mix flour, sugar, milk, baking powder, and vanilla in a bowl. Mix well and add dewberries. spray a 9X11 or 9X13 glass baking dish with Pam and add mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for approx. 40 min.

Mix the streusel in seperate bowl. Mixture should be crumbly. After baking cobbler for 40 min, sprinkle streusel on top and bake another 15 min.

    Wo-la, ready to enjoy!
