With all the dewberries around, we went out and picked some so I could use grandmas recipe. Here it is- really simple and tastes great. Can't beat that German baking.
2 or 3 lbs dewberries(or however many you want) washed
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 Tbs baking powder
3 tsp vanilla extract
Streusel(topping)
1/2 stick butter-melted
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
Mix flour, sugar, milk, baking powder, and vanilla in a bowl. Mix well and add dewberries. spray a 9X11 or 9X13 glass baking dish with Pam and add mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for approx. 40 min.
Mix the streusel in seperate bowl. Mixture should be crumbly. After baking cobbler for 40 min, sprinkle streusel on top and bake another 15 min.
Wo-la, ready to enjoy!
