    I forgot to mention but I ended up trying this and, man, it was GOOD. The crackers gave it an almost buttery flavor that was rich but not overpowering. Next time though I'll mash them up a little finer as I had problems with the bigger chunks not sticking.

                      Beans, make your gravy from the drippings of the oil you fried your backstrap in. In a small skillet, heat a few tablespoons of grease (and make sure you pick out lots of the burnt crunchy pieces floating around) and mix with a couple tablespoons of flour (you can use more or less flour depending on how thick you like your gravy). Brown the flour for a minute or so until its blonde (not brown) then add some milk, and salt and pepper to taste. If you screw it up try again with more or less ingredients to your liking. Each person has to find their own gravy mix rate!
