          The loose bones probably come from the rib cage. Its best not to include the rib cage in the gravy if you plan on simmering it a while. Just eat the fried rib cage as an appetizer and put the rest of the animal in gravy to slow cook.

                            Squirrel is probably my favorite meat. Fried squirrel is great, but squirrel and gravy is my favorite (similar to your recipe). I'll definitely try this one.

                              The only thing to make this recipe better is to do your cooking in a cast iron pot...

                              Looks good brings back good memories with my grandmother and grandfather. She could cook squirrel and rabbits like no other.
