        How long does diy freeze dried stuff last compared to the er prep they claim can go 25 years??

        It's the canning that intrigues me...I remember watching an early episode of Port Protection where ole Gary broke into his last jar of clams and/or muscles that was 10yrs+ old.

          No way to know for sure, but we've read 25 to 30 years. We do a lot of stuff in mylar sealed packs then put into food grade buckets with oxygen absorbers.
