Haha...we dislike mushroom but surely you can add to the dish! Hope your wife will let you cook inside the house! Its really simple and straightforward recipe.

Its important to use Romano/Parmesan in clear bottle with green cap. I forgot what its called, but we all use that for our spaghettis same one but it has a combo.

I tried using seperate ingredient by buying it from cheese department, it was disaster. So, buy that product and learn from my mistake so yall dont make the same mistake I did.

Gonna try this today- how much garlic, onion, parsley, and pepper?

I spread them around inside the pot while butter is simmering with garlic, parsley, pepper, and minced onions evenly on bottom of pot until onions and garlic turns into caramelized brown. I never use measurement tool for these.

                Good luck!! Enjoy it.

Edit: you can put fresh parsley a little bit more (finger sprinkle) on top after you put in a bowl and some bacon bits as well.

This is the same recipe my coonaz friend from Vidor taught me. He was a sous chef in most of the big hotels restaurants in Austin at one time or another back in the 80's, but rather than say "stir until creamy' he said "reduce"....

Proper technical cooking terminology were the only fancy talk that he knew, but wow, could he cook!

Silent Assassin, you are right that your (no-longer) secret recipe is the best!

go with real butter instead of the light stuff. Good recipe. I add a touch of red pepper to mine.

Yes, real butter is always best, but, for the folk at home, it is the reduced heavy cream and lack of any additional thickeners that make a good sauce.
