The hunt can be as easy or as hard as you want to make it.
You can sit in the bottom of the mountain pasture and wait for the rams to come down to eat or you can hike to the back of the place and try your spot-n-stalk skills.
this is probably the best more realistic advice...we go there and start at day light and hike the back country for old big, no tag, skittish rams. You go bow hunt back there and kill something you will have earned it...or you can sit on the poarch of the trailer that has plywood covering holes in the floor and shoot one that you petted 5 mins before...

The property is about 600-700 acres, most of it is the "back" that is rarely hunted...there's no shame hauling a bow back there and getting your *** handed to you on a plate...that's how to hunt TT's.

I have been to Thompson's twice.
I have enjoyed both trips and will be going back as soon as I can get some funds together.
        First trip: Bronze Corsican
        Second trip: Bronze Merino

        Great place!
Plan you a trip and I bet you will enjoy it.

        Good luck!

I enjoyed it and would love to go back, but it is basically in Mexico. I live in Dallas so it would cost some $$$ in gas to go back.

Depending which way you go.....you start running across the border patrol. We usually car pool and split the fuel cost....much cheaper that way

                      Rock Springs area.

Yeah, car pool is the only way to do it. I think it took me 7 hours last time.

It's a couple miles northeast of Vance, TX.
