I haven't found another ranch that can even come close to Thompson's prices.
If he is slipping with his animals, though, you can be sure, I'll give an accurate report when we get back.

With all the reports I've heard from that place, I don't understand why people still go. If you want the same experience - go to the auction yourself - pick up a couple sheep, and turn them loose on your lease, and go hunt them the next weekend.

I've never been to Thompson's and not seen rams.
We're booked for July 9th for the 3rd anual Hotter'n Hell ram hunt ... hope he stocks up before then.

I will also be there for the thrid annual hotter n hell ram hunt with texas taxi and will have a full report for you guys. So far
first trip I saw rams at the front gate then didn't see another ram until sunday morning and got a shot off at 150 yds or so.
Second trip saw rams all over the whole time, got a shot the first day in the trophy pasture.
The lodging is definately no the best and all the lodgings and amenities need work, but for 100 bux I don't expect much. It has always been a great time with fellow hunters.
The first trip when I had such a hard time seeing anything I was the only one trying to stalk them I walked all over the place in the back canyon and all that. It was very frustrating not tp mention the red@#$ that came from walking around for hours in july.

Seems clear to me. "It's perfectly legal."
Try the trophy bass fishing there. I hear its like shooting fish in a barrell.
Except no guns are allowed. You have to be able to foul hook them in the fishtank. But make sure you go on the 2nd Thursday of the month.
Cause thats when they are runnin.....

My sister and dad go with a big group AT LEAST once a year and LOVE it. They aren't tame rams, the one my dad got this year he had to work for. My sister has gotten at least 2 from there, this year was a gold medal. I cant wait to join them on the next hunt at TT. If you dont like TT then DONT HUNT THERE..Dont sit here and talk bad about it. You can have a bad hunt no matter where you go and you can have good hunts in the same place. Every hunt is different.
