I'm headed to RC this weekend with my 16 yr old daughter. Her last youth draw. Luckily the river hasn't canceled the hunt yet. Any last minute advice?

Are they scheduled to get this rain this weekend?

There is a chance of some very light rain but it’s so dry it won’t be an issue. They need some rain, waking in the woods is like walking on pop rocks so if they are lucky they will get a little

We need the rain very very bad , our tanks were not as low as they are now back in 2011 /12

My tip would be avoid the temptation to see a lot of land. IF a buck is the goal. They will be chasing like crazy and in thicker cover. Get to a habitat break and hunt the edge

IF the goal is to kill “a deer”… oaks are actually not as common as I thought they would be, so I’d find that feature and possibly add a corn pile to another area. A PILE! You ain’t got but 1.5 days

Do they just assign the youth one of the elevated blinds or can they hunt anywhere?
