Yep, there are lots of them out there, that looks like where I saw the last one, I saw down there. The ones I kept finding were hiding under the salt grass.

Keep on trying. Laguna will make the most seasoned guy a novice in a heat beat!!! Took me three years, luckily in a row, to finally connect on something.

Event morning already. Shot fired from my buddy Mark. Unfortunately off the mark and his shot. Grunted in dumb decent fork horn 2.5 yard for him. Going for his first bow kill so why not come to Laguna! Bumped a herd of nilgai when we got into our spot. Here for the long haul. Stay tuned.

Shot him at 30yds broadside. Shot looked high.


I have to pass another hunter when leaving. I left my phone in truck and have to have it for work/business and to communicate with Ateam. After I slipped passed other hunter he had a bull come to 20 and got drawn but the bull spooked. I just got back to him and saw Nilgai feeding towards him so I literally fell to the ground and texted him. He is too nice. He waived me on, but I told him I did not want to disrupt his hunt and told him a bull was heading his way. I watched for 20 mins as the bull mounted the cow multiple times.

I snuck up and he insisted I just walk right by in plain view, I just couldn’t do that to a guy. I snuck through brush and made it past him without spooking the nilgai.

Back in tree. Giving bull plenty of time, Dad is nearby so I am waiting a good while.
