Grab that rain gear and go kill a pig. Today is perfect!

I don't mind setting up a wet camp. It's happened. You pretty much have the woods to yourself too. It's quiet. Hmmm...I think I'll call in to work tomorrow from somewhere in the middle of Granger WMA.

So are rubber boots necessary out there of regular hunting boots? Is it swampy by the river/lake?

If it's raining like today then I would prefer to wear rubber boots. Any other day no they are not needed.

Man I miss those days. These dang kids. They lucky they are cute and I love them and stuff.

I know. We had lots of nice setups scattered out in them woods. Pack in, set up where you end up. Wake up, pack up, hunt/hike and do it all again. One thing about wet weather camping, take your propane backpack stove for starting a fire.

Hard to walk in rubber boots out there....just get a good pair of waterproof hunting boots...I ran into another rattlesnake on a deer,hog trail friday...about 4 feet long, again I didnt have snake boots on....needless to say hes headless.....wear your snakeboots until we get a freeze...

Wow that's wild..i think I would of took her home and fattened her up haha my little girl would probably never let me get rid of it though. I'm thinking of trying to make it out this weekend sometime, probably Sunday if anyone is down

Don't do it! I did and it got really big really fast and wrecked my yard and fence. It was "put to sleep" recently.
