Cecil has some of the best hot wild hog breakfast sausage I've ever eat-n! He told me once a few years ago he was ready to get out of the processing business. He spent 30 years with Kroger before he retired from there. And only did processing after that till he and his now ex started buying homes. He's got a bunch of rental properties now. I had never used a processor till 1997. Had two deer to get done. So I left one with him and took the other home. He didn't charge for grinding. It was part of basic processing for as long as I've known him. but dose charge if you add anything to the grind. He doesn't answer the phone much any more.

I drove by there Sunday evening. And his truck was there.

Just did a little investigating on the hunting reports.

          Permits issued: 2,308
          Deer hunters making reports: 42
          Deer sightings: 242
          Deer killed: 6

Wonder what game all the other hunters are hunting. Squirrel hunters maybe? Have any of you seen a LOT of squirrel hunters?

And half of the 42 deer hunters must be here on this thread, right? I know all the deer killed are here. ,

If I had known the deer hunting pressure was that light around the lakes, I would have been hunting them 30 years ago. (again, a sarcastic ---> inserted)

Here is a better body picture and better pic of his other side. I think he's 3.5 but its hard to tell. If I see him come by he's sure going to be tempting.

lake aquilla . I am sick. Good Lord brings me a big buck every year right by me and I invent ways of screwing it up. It was as chocolate as that one with much bigger main beams!

My opinion that buck is 4.5

I still don't see any way that buck is mature for sure and I'm still leanin toward only 2.5 yo

He's a good buck for sure and would be great for public land.

Thanks, TG. I used Cecil since he opened. I've slowed down a good bit since I don't hunt much but I've taken a few hogs to him but it has been awhile. Didn't know about the ex but I was afraid something had happened to him. Glad it's a personal choice and not forced on him. He's one of the good guys.
