Neat character! If thats his beam that turns down , he is legal. I presume DCNF so if you get A Whack at him, he would make a great mount. I hope you get better pictures to post.

Those horns look bigger because he's in velvet but he still has lots of potential if he lasts long enough. Really cool picture though i'd pass.

While i agree that in a perfect World, passing this deer would be a great thing, I presume this is a wild deer on DCNF..... Noone i know would pass this deer under those circumstances.

Yes DCNF. I'm thinking 2 1/2 yrs.old. I don't think 95% of the hunters would pass him up in the NF. I'm not sure I would be able to for that reason alone as long as he's legal. I'll post more pics when and if I get them. I do think he had two beams on the left side and I'm seeing at least 13 pts.

I also believe he is 2.5 and has great potential. I have hunted NF for years and live with the idea "if I pass him, someone else MAY shoot him, but if I shoot him, HE FOR SURE DOES NOT MAKE IT"!

I agree with you completely. I should let him walk being only 2 1/2.
