For any of you that live a distance from Whitney/Aquilla, I have a cabin near the dam that should be ready to stay in hopefully in a month or 2 if anyone needs a place to stay.

Ahhhhhhhhhh. They are making us work all day today. I need to be at the corp land though. They better not expect me to work next weekend.

Was out at lake and put corn down this morning. By the time I got back to the truck I was soaking wet! Good thing i keep a dry change of clothes in the truck. But got everything ready and they have definitely been on all of my spots I baited last weekend. Found the left side shed of a basket 6 by one of my spots. Now come on Saturday and that cooler temp.

I'll be skipping the opener. But will be around here if anybody needs any help. Not sure what help I could be though . But I'm willing to do what I can. Bring a game cart maybe? Make sandwiches? Serve up some cold ones maybe?

Well storm. The company I work for recently got aquired. The old owners used to let us cash out vaction so I missed work twice in three years. They don't have much choice but to let me use my vaction. I am about to head out and put some corn out.

Got more corn out. Man people are messy. I filled two empty corn bags full of trash from just two entrance points. Looks like I need to bring big trash bags.

I shot two blue wings this morning, breasted them out, and as I put them in the fridge, i realized I never took a pic. Also got my corn out for next saturday, hopefully it will cool down some

I wish people would take more concern. Even if there are trashcans in places, coons and other varmints will get in them and pull trash out. Over stuffed cans loose trash due to wind also. And they don't get emptied but once a year if that. I'd rather just take it home where I know where it will go.

I used to put a trash can at the gate I hunted till everyone started figuring out where I hunted at and started loading with people. But just keep everything clean and make it look like the same or better than before you got there.

Made a trip down with my boys this afternoon to put out some corn. Got to the spot we were headed and there was a trail cam hanging on the clearing. One of the perks of hunting public I guess. We left everything as it was and moved our way to the next spot. My oldest has a birthday next Friday and he is hoping his first bow kill this season. I'd love for it to work out on opening weekend for him but we will just have to wait and see. Glad it's almost here. Good luck everyone and be safe out there.
