If any of you guys camping out in davy Crockett this weekend can take in an extra guy in your group let me know I pull my weight around and im not looking for your spots just dont like the idea of being out there alone for a weekend mot knowing anyone around.

boliverpete.. have hunted DCNF for many years and camped in Neches Bluff many of those years and in my experience I have NEVER...knock on wood.. had anything stolen or messed with.

Hey guys I find it funny that I have gotten on a lease for the first time in 10 years, and have seen less deer on the lease than I ever have in the national forest. I plan on hunting both this year but if the lease thing don't work out I will go back to NF hunting for sure.

We are staying in Alabama Creek WMA just off 2262 on NF-509 at the campground. I will be driving a brown suburban z71 with a TBH sticker on the back window.

I've never hunted a national forest, and I'm not going to this year, but I am curious as to how approach it. Do you need a draw tag for it or do you just show up and hunt?

Sure saw a lot of trucks parked compared to normal for bow season. Usually expect a big crowd opening rifle season not bow season!
