Looks like a bedding area. I've seen a similar area on game camera pics. Did you find any sheds from last year?

I agree with the staying later to see the deer. I can think of at least 3 occasions that I was walking out from a morning hunt and saw deer. They were walking across the pipeline road.

No sheds but all the sign is there. The problem is how to hunt it, super thick in spots and almost 0 trees that will take a stand. I've killed deer hunting from the ground but it adds another level of difficulty. What time of year did you take your deer ? Were you in a tree stand or ground ?

Hunted both, saw plenty of deer from a pop up and even took a shot at a doe from it. Actually shot threw the top of the pop up and over the doe. LOL. Another story. Biggest issue was the deer would wind(Dang south wind) me in the pop up, so I moved to tree stand.

BTW, I never bushed my pop up and deer would come within 20 yards. I would set it up on Sat. morning and hunt the whole weekend out of it.

I've wondered about the pop up thing, quit using mine because they would either not come close or bust me. Killed 3 deer just sitting in a chair in the brush after that.

How disappointing! My son and I set up our Primos Matrix ground blind and brushed it in so that you could hardly make out the blind. We hunted out of it one evening and went back this morning and someone STOLE the blind and two chairs.

We had scouted hard found a great location near a tree dropping big Burr oak acorns.

Now some sorry lowlife ruined our hunt. They could have hunted out of it but WHY did they have to steal?

How long ago was that one evening you hunted? Rules are no stands left out there for more than 24 hrs! If it was one set in a power line right of way it was reported, corp prob picked it up.

That was the easiest way to get him out. It just had to be the weekend when all my buddies were out of town. No one to call to help drag him out. But it was well worth the butt whooping!
