My son got it done the last day of the hunt. After passing on a few does and a young 8 point, this 9 pointer walked out at 124 yards at 6:55 AM in the rain. I knew right away he was an older buck by his body size and color but I wanted to make sure he met the 13” width requirement. I was shaking like a leaf watching this buck through the binos! After giving him the thumbs up the rest is history. His first public land draw and his first public land buck. We are beyond ecstatic. Thanks for MtnMike on giving me some good intel.
