according to a buddy there today, this was the last hunt? They had 3 tags and blanked. Out of 40 hunters only 4 gators got brought in. Biologist said worst year for gators since hes been there.

So you guys typically eat them ? Is it only the tail that le edible? Do anything with the hides etc? I imagine boots would be pricy but quite a souviner.

They smoke the legs I know and the main meat is from the tail. Cut it into nuggets, wash in yellow mustard and hot sauce then fry up golden brown.

There were 3 of us and we ended our hunt with 1 gator. He was a baby at 5' 5" and only 27#. The drought definitely affected where and gators were this year.
