Zero out of 104 dam draws. This is ridiculous, Im about ready to quit this drawn hunt crap. That’s with double digit prefrance points in most categories. I dont get it.

I was drawn for Feral Hog at Hagerman but it is at the same time as my exotic hunt at Devils River Del Norte Unit. I won't be accepting the hunt so there will be at least one available on the second draw. Good luck!

4 straight years of being completely shut out. 0-124 streak. Shut out of a spring turkey hunt with 9 points where less than 600 people put in for it last season. I will admit at this point with so many points in so many categories I'm only putting in for highly coveted hunts, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised not to draw.

They aren't preference points. They are bonus points and just put 'your name in the hat' more times...

Calling them preference points or loyalty points is just a name.

The difference is points in Texas do not guarantee a draw because the only give you more entries in the draw which increases your odds. Lots of people have points so your points get diluted when you're competing with thousands of entries due to point cubing. If you assumed just a 5 point average, a hunt like Chaparral GDE with 5000 applicants could have over 500,000 entries after points were cubed.

Colorado has a point system that guarantees tags to the highest point holders.

Well, I went one for about 30 this year. Drew Hagerman Hog but I think I'm going to pass. It is late January and I'll just be getting back from Arizona.

I wouldn't give up yet if I were you and you are in for hogs. I've drawn two second draw tags for hogs. One was last year and the other was three years ago. They're usually later season draws but draws none-the-less.

Am hunting a hang on tree stand. Tried out my grunt call. It worked with unintentional results. Called in a hunter wearing orange. He kind of freaked when I said hello.
