Question about hog hunting on Army Corps of Engineers land

    The book that comes with your permit says in it specifically "no pistols". If you look into it more, it says in another section that pistols are not to be carried on federal land. Your state CHL is not federal it is state, therefore you can't carry. I hunt there as well, and I am a CHL holder, I do not carry on that land, but I do pretty much every place else, the rule is no fun, but it is what is.

      I understand the rule. If some of the people I have talked to were able to pack a pistol in, I wouldn't feel near as comfortable walking through the woods in the dark.

          Carry a big knife. BIG. I switched to a big knife before I got my revolver cause carrying a semi auto is dangerous when crawling through the brush if loaded and pointless if it is not.

            I hunt the coe land in lavon and the pigs are under so much pressure frome all the people they smell hear or see you there gone theres no need for a hand gun anyways
