You might be very nice but you admit to breaking the rules???? Hope we find your stands. Our LEO loves to confiscate illegal stands. Funny how no one ever claims their "abandoned" property. Let me know which unit you're hunting and we'll be happy to give you an "award" for being so honest on a public forum. Nine stands could add up to a lot of "award money" resulting in more $ to catch the cheaters.

He is either not very bright, does not care, or completely oblivious to the rules. See his post on another thread about shooting a nice 9pt and going back now for a ten.

Didn't mean to hijack the OP. 72hrs is the limit with no permanent stands as already stated.

Also look at the AMAKER stand, deer transport combo. It is a climbing stand that transforms in to a deer cart, it will help you tremendously

I agree. I have lone wolf sit and climb and I love it

atexx2-thanks for the video. looks simple enough. I am used to ladder stands, or hunting from the ground. thanks again.

I am looking at the summit viper classic from academy, $169.99. Seen a couple vids on it from yourtube. Should work very well for what I need.

hoffdawg, just a heads up....climbing is cool but it does cause you to sweat up a storm, especially during early bow season, personally i like leaners (ladder) stands...bust a sweat once....i break it down and either cable lock to the base of a tree or just leave it up cable locked if i notice no foot traffic other than mine...either way welcome and enjoy

That is very true. I got to Texas in late Dec, and it wasn't exactly freezing... So I can imagine what it is like for early bow season. Definatly something to think about.
