    Lightning over Tank

Always fun to take pictures over water, sitting on a levee, next to a tree during a giant thunderstorm. But they are well worth the outcomes.

                  In photoshop talk:
You basically take 2 images and overlay them in Photoshop, and erase parts of one picture to show the other image over it.
Really helpful to use layer masks to do it.

awesome! when you say 30 second exposure - do you mean that the lense was open and gathering the image/light for 30 seconds before it was done and the picture was completed?

Yes, it was pitch black outside and the only light was the lightning. That is why I was able to leave the shutter open so long. And It was also on a tripod, which is crutial when taking a picture with sharp detail over 1/60

If I would of had my shutter remote I probably would have left it open longer.
