D90 is a great camera. I ended up with the D7000 just do to BB didn't have the D90 in stock. I am amazed by your work. Looks fantastic. How are you liking that lens?

        now teach me how please!!!

that is one thing I would like to do! (shoot lightning!)
You basically have to have a tripod, a dry place, a remote (or shutter release, or you can actually just delay you shutter for a few seconds once you push the button)
The key is to leave you shutter open in the hopes that lightning will strike during the time that it is open.
The light from the lightning will "stick" on your sensor and you will be able to see the full bolt.
It takes practice, no sky is alike. You have to basically shoot by trial and error to find the correct exposure

The Tokina 11-16 is the only lens that I own outside of the Nikon line. It is also the only lens that I own that is formatted for a DX (cropped) sensor. When the day come that I actually upgrade to a full frame this lens will stay on my D90 full time. It is an amazing wide angle, VERY wide, takes a lot of practice to get used to it.

Thank you for all the compliments. I love this place. TBH's photography forum helped me a lot when I got started years back become a better photographer.

So on "stacking", you are putting the "same" pics together in layers in PS and then just erasing out what you don't want? What do you set your transparency at?

Very cool shot(s). Long exposures are a lot of fun.

I'm actually stacking different pictures together but with the same frame. I change the transparency to however it looks. Kinda vague, I know, but it is all by how it looks when I process.
The key is using later masks and erasing what you don't need.
