It's getting close. I sat down and refletched a bunch of arrows. With our lease and the Junco and potential to kill 7 to 10 whitetails, 2 javelinas, 4 turkeys, and a bunch of hogs, I figured it was time to get a lot of arrows ready.

My main killers are the dozen Maximas on the right. I love those arrows. They shoot very well out of my bow. Total arrow weight with 100 grain broadhead is 370 grains and they fly 298 fps out of my allegiance set at 62.5 lbs. I'll probably get another dozen in the next few weeks.
Next to them are my Vapor 5000's. They are about 25 or 30 grains more than the Maximas. I'll use them, as well as the 7 Vapor 4000's on the left for pigs and stuff. I just hate wasting my maximas on porkers and javelinas.
The 5 arrows next to the Vapor 4000's are what's left of my Easton hunter 300's. They were my arrow of choice out of my DOA a few years ago. Killed lots of stuff and these are the last 5 out of that 2 dozen. they weigh about 420 grains and shoot a tad lower than my maximas. The last bunch of arrows are my Easton camo hunters. They weigh about 440 grains. I used those not long after I went to carbon. I thought I wanted a heavier arrow. Wasn't necessary and these are the last holdovers. Don't make the mistake of shooting them into most nonbag targets. They are HARD to get out. When I'm just pig hunting, I'll probably use these and the 300's.
I'm getting ready to order 4 or 5 packs of Hammerheads and another 3 or 4 of Easton First Cut 3 blades, then I'll be ready. I shouldn't run out of ammo this year. I think I have one first cut and 1 hammerhead left out of my 3 packs of HH, 3 packs of FC's and 3 packs of Sidewinders. I also have a couple packs of Slick Triks, just in case.
Last week, I checked out all my blinds. I'll make sure I have camo covers for them in the next couple weeks, and after that, it'll be time to start putting them up. It's getting REALLY close.
